Over the summer Age UK Richmond asked older people to write about memorable moments from their lives. The winning stories are now gathered and published in ‘Everyone Has a Story or Two’. Come along to purchase a copy at Age UK Richmond's Twickenham Wellbeing Centre.

'Everyone Has a Story or Two' not only offers a glimpse into treasured personal memories from local older people, it also supports Age UK Richmond's work.

The book immortalises older people's wisdom and adventures, including recollections of a shark attack, a charge of a hippo, wedding day blues, schooldays, travels, war stories, old loves, losses, retirement, new pastures. Over 40 people rose to the challenge. The wonderful stories were judged by Angela Rippon CBE and Dr Russell Schechter, senior lecturer in Creative Writing from St Mary’s University.
